Devon and Haley got married at Beaver Mountain up Logan Canyon. The scenery was stunning, the weather was perfect, and of course they were the perfect couple. I had to laugh when I arrived and saw that Haley was the one doing the bridesmaids hair :) She was such a chill bride, and you can see how the effortless happiness shone through in the pictures.

Haley contacted me when she saw the photos I took for her coworker Tausha. Haley told me she hopes that her darling, nearly-one-year-old daughter, Raya, will grow up to be as kind and genuine as Tausha one day. I thought that was the most tender thing. I love hearing women build other women up. And I also have to give Haley a shout out because I follow her on Instagram and I LOVE how she engages with motherhood. She is always staying active with little Raya by going on hikes, doing yoga together, and it’s just so easy to see how much she loves her baby girl. Raya being part of her parents’ wedding day was so special and I loved seeing how happy they were to be together as a family.

I also have to dish on myself here.

I was so focused on my job during the wedding that I didn’t recognize their officiant - Ken, who is my husband’s coworker, a guy i’ve met several times, and he even helped us move into our house like 2 weeks before this wedding! I DEFINITELY should have recognized him, and I was so embarrassed when I got home that night and my husband showed me a picture that Ken took of me and sent to him. As soon as my husband showed me the photo, I knew exactly who he was and I felt so bad that I didn’t say hello or anything to him. I hereby acknowledge that I was a giant dork that day and Ken, if you are reading this - I am so sorry! Honestly, he did a great job. He had the whole crowd laughing several times, and it’s extra impressive because this was the first time he’s been an officiant! Devon knew him and asked him to officiate, and I think it was a great choice.
