Eric & Dani Formals | Fall Wedding Formals | Logan, Ut Wedding Photographer
Eric and Dani’s engagement session was such a beautiful day that it was only fitting that their formal shoot would have to be rescheduled last minute thanks to the undesirable weather that weekend. Luckily, Dani used two of my favorite local northern Utah vendors for her dress and bouquet and they were somehow able to rearrange everything and make it work! We wedding industry folks tend to run into each other a lot, and I must say, Petals and Promises and Freckle Farms have been impressive every single time one of my brides have used them. I can’t say enough good things about them! If you love your Instagram feed to be filled with wedding inspiration like I do, you can follow them here - Dresses, Flowers. Oh, and I suppose Eric, Dani, and her two roommates that came to help with her dress deserve a little shout out for accommodating the last minute schedule swap too.
We had to drive about 30 minutes to get up to Franklin Basin to do the shoot, but it was completely worth it for the scenery and fall colors. Eric rode with me so we could do some first look shots of Dani in her dress, and it was great to get to chat with him and get to know him a little better. He talked about how special it was to do these photos in the mountains, somewhere that he and Dani felt “home” with all the camping, hiking, kayaking, and dirt biking they like to do. Although Dani is from Spanish Fork and Eric is from Layton, Logan is the place that brought them together.
I’ll have to take his word for it on their adventuring, because these two in their formal outfits looked absolutely stunning and nothing like dirt-biking campers. The pops of red in her bouquet went beautifully with her vibrant red hair, and the blues were reminiscent of his handsome blue suit without being too match-y. Just like with their Engagements, these two were absolute naturals in front of the camera again and it made for such a fun and easy shoot. I cannot wait for their wedding day!
