Im so glad I was able to shoot Kallen and Karies wedding! They contacted me just a few short weeks before their wedding at the logan lds temple because they had already had 2 photographers flake on them. They were just kind people and had so much joy! They brought their dog children to the wedding, and now I feel like all weddings should have dogs!
I have some serious love for this couple! Katie & McKay were just so easy to get a long with right from our consult and I enjoyed every second I spent with them! They are true friends now and im thrilled for them!
They were married in the Salt Lake LDS temple surrounded by family and friends and it was such a joyful day! And if getting married isnt happy and life changing enough, the day before the wedding, McKay found out he got accepted to Dental school and that they will be moving across the country soon! So happy for these two!
Mike has been friends with my sister since they were in 3rd grade. He is practically family and even lived with my parents for a few months. We got to meet Kaitlyn when he brought her to our house for the Super Bowl and she's a sweetheart! I was so excited when Mike sent me a message asking about my wedding packages! I offered to photograph the proposal, because its a service I love to provide for free to anyone who plans on using me as their wedding photographer! It was so fun to get to help plan and set up this surprise for Katilyn!
Mike knew she wanted to be proposed to at sunset, so we found the perfect sunset view a few days before. I set up the spot, complete with a bouquet from my favorite florist, Conner Nesbit of Leuca Floral, blankets and pillows lining the back of my dads truck for them to watch the sunset after he popped the question, and of course their favorite sodas.
Mike and Kaitlyn went over for their weekly viewing of Greys Anatomy with my sister while I was setting everything up. Then my mom came out and told a story about how she needed them to go pick up my dads truck that got left at a construction site. They drove up and got out of the car to walk over to the truck. Thats when Kaitlyn saw all whole set up and realized what was going on! Mike got down on his knee, asked an important question, and she said yes!
Congrats you two!
These two are so much fun to be around! They picked me up at my house in Logan and we drove out to Syracuse so Heather could change into her dress at her brothers house. Brad and I hopped back in the car to drive out to Antelope Island so we could let Brad see Heather in her dress for the first time out on the island and Heathers brother would drop her off. As Brad and I drove out to Antelope Island, he told me more about how he met Heather and how he would organize group activities so that he would have an excuse to be around Heather. He also told me that he let Heather shave his beard a few weeks ago because she had never seen his bare face. Now thats true love!
I don't know how I get so lucky to have such amazing and welcoming clients. By the end of the shoot, these two felt like old friends and when we went out to eat afterwards, it was comfortable and fun and I cannot wait for their big day in a few more weeks!
