Robbie & Courtney Engagement Session | Utah State Capitol Engagement Session | Utah Wedding Photographer
Robbie and Courtney’s love for one another is a love that is so visible and almost tangible. You know that feeling you get when you see someone you love deeply, that you haven’t seen in a long time? It’s like that. If you know that it’s coming, there is all this anticipation and excitement until the moment arrives that you get to see them again and experience that hug where you hold them so tight and for so long, trying to make up for all the time missed. Well, even though Robbie and Courtney get to spend a good amount of time together, I feel like they have these feelings for each other all the time! Any time away from each other, is too long. I’m sure if they could sit together on a big comfy couch, snuggle up under a nice warm blanket and just hold each other all day, they would! Be let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to do that with the ones they love?
We shot their engagements at the Utah State Capitol, which made for a very gorgeous and classy background for these two. I love shooting there because it is so beautiful and has so many options of shots for couples who want to get a good variety, in one location. It also allowed them to get comfortable and in their element without having to take a break to change location. They could just be together and show their joy of getting to do so. Now, I love the sweet, forward facing, smiling picture just as much as Mom and Grandma do, but I’m all for letting you be yourselves and really showing how you feel for one another. Some people don’t love to be super affectionate in front of the camera, and that is perfectly okay! Whether you are more calm and intimate, or more passionate and excited, I want you to feel like you can be yourself, and I want to see it! These two had a great mix of both passion and joy, along with this sweet and quiet tenderness. They are so intimate and affectionate with one another, just cherishing every little moment they have together. They hardly ever wanted to look at the camera because they are so enchanted with each other. You can see on their faces that in one another’s arms is their favorite place to be.
