Europe Trip - Day 2 Copenhagen and Amsterdam
We hopped on a bus over to an area of Copehagen called Nyhavn. We only had a few short hours before we had to head to the airport, but we enjoyed brunch and the beautiful colored buildings as well as checking out the shops by the canal. It is so fun traveling with a group of photographers because no one gets impatient when someone wants to stop and take pictures (which is all the time).
The rest of the day was just one adventure after another, starting with when I left my suitcase on the Metro as we were headed to the airport to take our flight over to Amsterdam. You only have a few seconds to get on and off the metro train when it stops and we were in a rush, so I grabbed my backpack and ran to get off the train. It wasn’t until we were already on the next train speeding away that I realized I had left it. Luckily someone helped me get the number for the metro customer service, and I left my name and number with them so if it gets turned in, I should get the bag back. Who knows if that will actually happen, but i’m crossing my fingers nice and tight that some kind soul turned it in. We will be back in Copenhagen next week so MAYBE ill actually get it back, but all of my important stuff was in my backpack, so if its gone forever, Im just out some clothes and some toiletries.
In Amsterdam we checked out our air bnb before heading out to get some dinner. When it came time to pay, the guy told us he didn’t take American cards and made us leave Stephanies phone there while we went to find an ATM to get some euros. It was a long night, but still really fun to just wander the streets of Amsterdam, plus we found a market to grab me a toothbrush and some chocolate before heading back to pay our bill.
