Europe Trip - Days 8 & 9 - Malmo and heading home
Guys I literally didn’t take any pictures this day! So I have nothing to share except an account of our day for my own record keeping!
We were all so exhausted that we slept in pretty late this day and then headed out into the city with the intention of going to see a windmill and a castle. It was raining pretty good and really cold so we decided to grab lunch to see if the rain would lighten up. Lunch was great, but the rain just got worse and the sun sets pretty early there, so we decided that since we would be pretty miserably cold and wet without much time to see the castle and windmill, we would call it a loss and we just wandered around some shops in an attempt to keep dry and warm. We headed back to the air bnb to warm up for a few hours, then we wandered around trying to find somewhere to eat and we ended up a a yummy indian restaurant. Then it was off to bed before we had to get up at 4 in the morning to take a train back to copenhagen, where we flew to London for a 3 hour layover before flying to LA. The London layover obviously wasn’t long enough for us to even leave the airport and do something cool, so I don’t feel like I experienced London at all even thought I got a passport stamp.
The flight was London to LA was excruciatingly long. I think it was 11 hours, but for some reason I just codling handle it. The first 4 hours of the flight went by SO SLOW. It was quite the change of pace after getting off that long flight to running through the airport to try and catch my connecting flight to Salt Lake. We were delayed in London over an hour, so I barely made it.
Now i’m home and so happy! I love traveling but coming home is always the best part. I plan on writing a blog post with more trips for European travel, so keep an eye out for that!
