I dislike when photographers try to pull the wool over peoples eyes to try and make themselves look more busy. I will always be open and honest about what I'm shooting and why. This was a styled shoot that I put together, not a paid shoot with a client.
I had been looking outside my living room window thinking how dreary everything looked. It hadn't snowed in Logan in weeks and all the old snow, looked dirty and was mostly melted. The very next day I woke up to a fresh snow fall that made everything look like a winter wonderland! I love the magical look of fresh snow and i immediately knew I wanted to shoot a bridal session! The only problem was that I didn't have anything scheduled for that day. I didn't let that deter me, I put out a model call and offered free hair, makeup and photos to anyone who would model for me! I had several girls reach out to me wanting to model (because its seriously so fun when you do it with me!) and Miss Danni was the first one to slide into my inbox! She came over so I could do her hair and makeup and so we could make sure one of my many dresses fit her. We put her in my ballerina ball gown from my senior ball (I knew there was a reason I kept it!) and she looked absolutely stunning! We ordered a bouquet from the Logan Flower Shoppe, picked a location for the shoot, and started her hair and makeup. The only vision that I had for this shoot is that it would be a winter wonderland, and it all came together so perfectly! She looked like a princess and the blush color of the dress was so perfect against all that fresh snow! Doesn't she just scream disney princess bride?!
We will end with a behind the scenes shot to prove that we weren't being totally cruel to Danni by making her freeze the whole time!
