Some sessions just feel full circle—and this one with Tyler, Nicole, and their son Nolan was exactly that.

I first met Tyler and Nicole back in 2021 when I did their wedding photography, including their formal session at the Spiral Jetty—still one of my all-time favorite shoots. Check that out HERE. Since then, I’ve had the chance to photograph multiple milestones for them, including Nicole’s graduation from Utah State University a few years ago.

This time, we met up again because its Tylers turn to graduate — but instead of focusing on traditional graduation portraits, we approached the session as what it really was: a chance to document their life right now as a family of three.

Because the truth is, seasons like this pass quickly.

Yes, Tyler is graduating from Utah State University—but what mattered most during this session wasn’t the cap and gown. It was Nolan’s curiosity, the way he reached for his parents, the in-between moments that actually define this stage of life.
